FEDERALSBURG, Md - Operation Whitetail, a non-profit organization that brings wounded warriors to Delmarva, is hosting their 3rd annual Freedom Ride on Saturday.

250 motorcycle riders are expected to be in attendance for the event, which will be held in the streets of Federalsburg, Preston and St. Michael's. Hogs and Heroes, a foundation which supports public safety and military personnel, will be teaming up with Hooters to help support the annual ride.

"We'll never forget the military and the sacrifices they made for us. It's just a small token for us to give back to them and give them a weekend on Delmarva, go fishing, go hunting and get away from the normal day-to-day grind they they're in," says Michael "Sandman" Sandoe, Events Coordinator for the Delaware Chapter of Hogs and Heroes.

The freedom ride begins on Saturday, August 2nd at 8 A.M. at the Federalsburg WFV and will proceed to leave around 9:30. Sandoe also stated that he would like the community to line up on the streets through Federalsburg, Preston and St. Michael's with their flags waving for this event.
