Hogs and Heroes Raise Over $4500 In Support For Fallen Ocean City Police

Posted: Updated:

OCEAN CITY, Md - The Hogs and Heroes Foundation raised over $4500 in support for the fallen Ocean City Police over the month of July.

Police officers Tommy Geoghegan and Joshua Addicks were involved in a fatal plane accident late June. The following week, The foundation teamed up with Hooters of West Ocean City and raised money for the families of the police officers. Hogs and Heroes president Allen Mansfield says that they would not have been able to raise as much as they did without the help of such a close-knit community like Ocean City.

"It shows that they really care about their own as we do and that's the purpose of doing what we do. The community down in Ocean City, they pull together as a team. It's awesome the way these people come out and support what we're doing. And in turn, it shows that they're willing to do things for the community also. Not just supporting us, but supporting their own," says Mansfield.
