Salisbury Riverwalk, Zoo Health Building Projects Move Forward

Posted: Updated:

SALISBURY, Md. - Two new projects in Salisbury will be moving forward after Thursday's city council meeting.

Council members voted to move un-used money from the "Waverly Drive Storm Sewer Project" to the Salisbury Zoo Animal Health Building. City council president Jake Day says any money left over after that project will go to restoring the city's Riverwalk, which could start immediately.

"We want a Riverwalk that is a pedestrian-friendly environment," said Day. "We want it to be friendly to families and people of all ages. We want it to be commerce connected."
