FORT MEADE, Md. (AP) - A supporter of Pfc. Bradley Manning has been accused of posting threatening messages on the Internet and a judge has banned him from the courtroom for the rest of the soldier's trial.
Clark Stoeckley is an art instructor from New Jersey. He was removed from the courtroom area of Fort Meade on Friday. He had been working on the trial as a sketch artist.
Manning is being tried by Judge Denise Lind, an Army colonel, on charges he leaked hundreds of thousands of government documents to the anti-secrecy site WikiLeaks.
Lind announced after a brief recess in defense closing arguments Friday afternoon that someone had been excluded for conduct that posed "a potential for harm or intimidation to court participants."
She didn't give the person's name, but Stoeckley confirmed it was him.
