HARRINGTON, Del. - Among those in attendance, Governor Jack Markell was out all day at the fair for Governor's Day. Besides making his way around the fairgrounds today, he also signed house bill ninety four into law. The bill is said to improve the process for issuing permits to handle protected wildlife for scientific, education or propagation purposes.

"I'm George Scuse Jr, I'm the facility manager at the Delaware State Fair. My guys and I take care of the grounds the maintenance the clean up" says Scuse.

For twenty one years, each day during the fair, George heads into work for his eighteen hour shift. Directing a group of 18 men.

John Greenly, fair maintenance, says "one minute I might be doing this and the next I might have to set up for a horse show."

"Two days are never the same" says Scuse. He oversees every mishap, and every clean up from one of the animals.

It's a job many fairgoers walk right past without notice, but it's the little clean ups and set ups that without George and his men, the show would not go on. Like laying out rows to separate chairs during concerts.

"Your legs will be here and your number in the middle, it takes four hours to do everything, to put this stuff done by the time we nail it in and lay it down and all" Scuse continues, "the fair is something you either like it or you don't like and and fortunately everyone we have loves it."

A big thanks to all those hard working folks at the fair, who keep the whole experience a pleasant one.
