Cambridge Man Charged In Vehicle Arson

CAMBRIDGE, Md. - Police have charged a man in connection with the intentional burning of a vehicle in Cambridge.

Maryland State Fire Marshal's Office says they have charged 37-year-old Lee Watson Dixon Jr., of Cambridge, after he allegedly set fire to a Dodge Durango on Race Street on July 22nd. According to the report, the blaze caused $4,000 in damages to the vehicle.

Dixon was arrested at his home on Wednesday night, and charged with 2nd degree arson, 2 counts of 1st degree malicious burning, 2nd degree assault, 2 counts of arson threat and malicious destruction of property. Authorities say that Dixon faces up to 63 years behind bars, and $87,500 in fines if convicted.
