WICOMICO CO., Md. - The cheers might've quieted down, but the USSSA Fastpitch Softball Eastern World Series Tournament is just getting started.
Now, in its seventh year in Wicomico County, the tournament brings thousands of people -- and more than $8 million in revenue to county.
"You're talking, with the time of year, and being as close to the beach as we are, folks make a vacation out of this. So, they might come a day or two early, check out the beach, check out what we have in town and then play some softball," says Steve Miller, Tourism Manager for Wicomico County.
The next round softball games are set to start Thursday, and last through Sunday. For more information on the USSSA Fast pitch Tournament, CLICK HERE.
