Staying Safe While Visiting The State Fair

Posted: Updated:

HARRINGTON, Del. - With so many people out at the Delaware State Fair this weekend, safety should be top of mind. So we want to remind you that there is a first aid station available. Right by the grandstand, you can find the Delmarva Power first aid station to take care of any minor cuts or scrapes.

Jill Tatmen, who is a nurse at the fair, says "we're located on the East end of the grandstand however, there are roaming EMT units on gators that are throughout the park."

So far, we're told the majority of people coming by have been treated for heat related injuries, so officials are reminding everyone to stay hydrated and in the shade. However, feel free to stop by the WMDT booth at the exhibit hall where it's nice and cool.
