Senator Chris Coons Talks With Voters At Fair

Posted: Updated:

HARRINGTON, Del. - If you don't feel like staying outdoors all day, there are many booths right around WMDT's section inside the Exhibit Hall, from cooking classes to voter registration.

Elected officials even made the trip out to Harrington this afternoon, including Senator Chris Coons, who has been talking to concerned voters. Senator Coons tells WMDT that while at the fair, he's heard about concerns over jobs and the debt.

"Gives me an opportunity to hear from Delawareans real concerns, not filtered through an email or a letter that comes to my office, but directly, and to get a chance to be accountable to the people I represent."

Next week, Coons says the Senate could discuss reducing money students are spending on loans and an energy efficiency bill.
