Jubilant Cadista Breaks Ground And Doubles Its U.S. Headquarters

SALISBURY, Md - Jubilant Cadista Pharmaceutical Incs. is hosted a ground breaking ceremony for the expansion of the company's Salisbury Maryland facility.

"This is an exciting day for jubilant cadista. We are breaking down on a new facility. We're about to double the size of our current facility. Today it's about a hundred thousand square foot facility that makes generic pharmaceutical products. We're going to increase that size to close to 200 thousand square feet so a large increase in the size and the scope of this project down here in Salisbury. Right now we have about 300 employees that we currently work with here on campus. We have planned to grow to at least 500 or 600 over the next 3 or 4 years. So fantastic day for Jubilant Cadista," says CEO Scott Delaney.

Cadista also says that they chose Salisbury and want to be a part of that culture.

"Salisbury is a great place to do business. Not only because of the people here but because of the talent that resides here in the Salisbury area. It is a lower cost place to do business in many ways, whether that's with tax implications that we look at when you compare doing business here and pharmaceuticals vs. Doing business in larger cities like Philadelphia or New York. It's much better cost wise for us when we're making generic pharmaceuticals," says Delaney.
