Pollitt Announces New Times For Upper and Whitehaven Ferries

WICOMICO CO., Md. - New times have been announced for the Upper and Whitehaven Ferries. County Executive Rick Pollitt has announced both ferries are open from 6:00 AM to 7:30 PM daily, including weekends through September.

Ferry Schedule:

March 1st to May 15th                                              7:00 AM to 6:00 PM
    
May 16th to September 15th                                     6:00 AM to 7:30 PM

September 16th to October 31st                                7:00 AM to 6:00 PM
      
November 1st to February 28th (29th)                        7:00 AM to 5:30 PM

Ferry service is available at no cost to riders.

County Executive Pollitt said in a statement, "…With our economy now showing signs of gradual recovery, I am delighted to restore the ferry services at Upper Ferry and Whitehaven to full-time normal hours of operation and encourage all our residents to get out and experience this unique feature of life in the country."

For more information on the operating status you can clal the Ferry Information Hotline at (410) 543-2765. The ferries may be closed in the event of infrastructure or environmental issues including high tide, excessive winds, or for inspection or repair purposes.
