High Temps Bring Precautions To The Fair

Posted: Updated:

HARRINGTON, Del. - For the 2nd day in a row, DNREC issues a code orange and warns folks to be advised. Young children, the elderly and anyone with a heart condition should limit outdoor activities during this time.

During this year, workers at the Delaware State Fair say they are taking these warning very seriously. General Manager of the Delaware State Fair, Danny Aguilar, says "we encourage them to use their best judgement make sure they stay hydrated, if they want to bring water and a picnic into the fairgrounds they certainly can do so, but we have several air conditioning buildings to cool their body temperatures."

On top of water, Aguilar says their are misting stations around the fairgrounds. Or you can head into the Exhibit Hall and watch WMDT's broadcast, every night at 6 PM, and enjoy the air conditioning.
