USSSA World Series Comes To Wicomico For 6th Year In A Row

WICOMICO Co., Md. - For the sixth year in a row, more than 5,000 softball players are ready to play ball for the 2013 USSSA World Series in Wicomico County.

The three-legged series, spanning from July 17 to August 3, is a big boost for the local economy. Preliminary estimates suggest it will generate more than $8 million in revenue.    

Opening ceremony for the first series kicked off at 6PM at the Wicomico Youth & Civic Center Wednesday.
