Information Sought On Long Neck Home Invasion Suspects

Posted: Updated:

LONG NECK, Del. - State Police are looking to identify two men in connection with a reported Long Neck home invasion.

Delaware State Police say around 1:15 PM, on Tuesday, two men went into a home on Lingo Drive and demanded cash from the 25-year-old victim who was inside, along with her 17-month-old child. According to the report, the victim wasn't able to give them any money, to which one of the suspects hit her in the face.

Police say the two took a handgun from a bedroom of the home before fleeing towards Enchanted Acres Mobile Home Park. The victim apparently did not need medical attention. Shortly after the incident, Police searched the area for the suspects, but were unable to find them.

Suspect one is described as a white man, 20-25-years-old, last seen wearing a white t-shirt and shorts. Suspect two is described as a light skinned black man, also 20-25-years-old, last seen wearing a dark colored t-shirt.

They now apparently believe that the home invasion was not a random act, and the victim may have been targeted. Police are asking anyone with information on this incident to contact Detective R. Mears at 302-856-5850 x255 or Crime Stoppers at 1-800-TIP-3333. Tips can also be submitted to the DSP Mobile Crime App, texting DSP to CRIMES (274637), or by visiting the TipSubmit website.
