Haddaway Says "Safer Streets, Protect Liberties" From GOP Team

Posted: Updated:

EASTON, Md. - Harford County executive David Craig (R) announces Del. Jeannie Haddaway (R) as his lieutenant governor nominee for the 2014 gubernatorial race.

Haddaway has been a member of the House of Delegates since August 2003, when she was appointed to the seat. She spoke with WMDT Tuesday afternoon about changes she's hoping to make if her team is elected.

"We need safer streets and we need policies that benefit both urban and rural Marylanders alike," said Haddaway. "We want to protect liberties and prosperity and unfortunately, we've seen both diminished with higher taxes and increased tolls, increased fees and increased regulation."

Haddaway says her team will release new policies in the next couple of weeks that could be made right away if elected. One of those changes she admits deals with the education system.
