SALSIBURY, Md. - Free Wi-Fi will soon be making its way to Downtown Salisbury.
Monday, the City Council approved the proposition for wireless Internet, which would cover the streets and businesses primarily around the downtown plaza.
The Council decided to work with the company Maryland Broadband as the service provider.
At a meeting next Monday, the council will consider a budget amendment to fund a position that would oversee the wireless network, and reduce dependence on outside "help desk" providers, which would save about $19,000 a year.
