Magnolia Teen Accused Of Running From Police With Loaded Guns

DOVER, Del. - A wanted Magnolia teenager is behind bars, after Police reportedly found two guns in his backpack, following a foot pursuit. Dover Police say on Saturday, around 9:45 PM, an officer on patrol noticed a wanted teenager in a vehicle driving in Courtney Square, so they tried to stop the vehicle, which reportedly fled.

According to the report, near S. Queen and Reed Streets, the 17-year-old, got out of the vehicle, and started running from officers, during which they say he dropped a backpack with two loaded handguns inside, one of which was later discovered to have been stolen. Police searched the vehicle, and say they found 46.7 grams of marijuana.

The teen is charged with possession of a firearm by a person prohibited, possession of ammunition by a person prohibited, possession of a firearm during the commission of a felony, resisting arrest, receiving a stolen firearm, possession with intent to deliver marijuana, and possession of drug paraphernalia. He is currently being held at Stevenson House, on $706,000 bond.
