Posted: Updated:

OCEAN CITY, MD. - The Worcester County Sheriff's Office Deputy says three Ocean City Police officers were almost hit when walking on a crosswalk Saturday evening.

According to reports, at about 11:00 PM, the officers were crossing St. Louis Avenue in the crosswalk and saw a pickup truck north on St. Louis Avenue. The truck reportedly did not appear to be slowing down as it entered the intersection, and the three officers stopped to avoid being hit. The truck then allegedly proceeded to drive through the intersection without yielding to the officers in the crosswalk.

The deputy reportedly stopped the truck and identified the driver as Jennifer Hill, 27, of Annapolis. Hill reportedly appeared to be under the influence of alcohol, and after doing poor on field tests, was arrested. Officials say Hill was charged with driving under the influence of alcohol and failure to yield to a pedestrian in a marked crosswalk, and was released pending trial.
