WMDT 47 NEWS - The Delmarva shorebirds and the Asheville Tourists picked up Wednesday's suspended game in the top of the 3rd, and from there on out it was a clean game.  There were no errors and a lot of hits, but the Birds fell short and lost 3-2.

Game two was slated to be a 7-inning game.  It was a tight contests as well until the bottom of the 6th, when Asheville's Ben Waldrip hit a clutch 3-run dinger to break a 2-2 tie. The Shorebirds went on to lose 5-2. They stay on the road, heading now to Lexington for a 4-game set.
