Felton Cocaine Bust Reportedly Digs Up Marijuana Too

FELTON, Del. - Police say a search of a Felton home for cocaine, lead to the discovery of apparent marijuana plants.

Delaware State Police say their Kent County Drug Unit searched a home in Irish Hill Road, where they found 41 grams of powdered cocaine. Inside a bedroom of the home, they say the also found a marijuana grow chamber, a tent like unit with artificial lighting, soil, fertilizers, and ventilation, with 48 marijuana plants inside. Police also reportedly found two large marijuana plants, in the backyard of the home, along with 2 boxes of "medical marijuana" seeds, scales, and ammunition, inside the home.

Police were apparently looking for 31-year-old Curtis Jones, of Felton, who wasn't there, but later turned himself into authorities without incident. He was charged with possession with intent to deliver cocaine tier 4 quantity, possession of cocaine in tier 5 quantity, possession of ammunition by person prohibited prior violent crime felony, manufacturing marijuana, possession of marijuana, and possession of drug paraphernalia. Jones is being held at JTVCC on $90,000 bond.
