Police Investigating Homicide In Seaford

SEAFORD, Del. - Police are looking for information, after a woman was reportedly run over and left for dead in a Seaford intersection, overnight.

Seaford Police say around 2:00 AM on Wednesday, they received a call about a woman lying in the road, on Third Street, near Front Street. The woman was taken to Nanticoke Hospital, and then flown to Christiana Hospital, where she was later pronounced dead.

Police say a witness told them that the 30-year-old Blades woman walked up to a silver SUV, that had a black male driver and a white female passenger, on Third Street. While the woman was speaking with the two people in the SUV, a verbal altercation reportedly broke put, and the vehicle sped off, with the victim hanging on. An investigation apparently shows that the victim fell, and the SUV then ran her over.

The Delaware State Police Crash Reconstruction Unit and the Seaford Criminal Investigation Unit are investigating the crash, which is now considered a homicide. Both the black male driver and white female passenger are considered suspects. No further description is available, for either.
