Pennsylvania Woman Dies In Fatal Salisbury Crash

Posted: Updated:

SALISBURY, Md. - Maryland State Police say they responded to a fatal crash just before 11:30 AM Sunday morning.

According to reports, 44-year-old Lesley Williams, of Cambridge, was driving west on Ocean Gateway, in the area of White Lowe Road, when 80-year-old Verna Tegyi, of Pennsylvania, failed to yield to William's right of way. The two vehicles reportedly collided, and Tegyi then hit a minivan. Police say Tegyi died from injuries and her passenger, 79-year-old Ina Mindler, also of Pennsylvania, is in serious condition. Williams and another passenger were treated for non-life threatening injuries. No one in the minivan was apparently injured.

The roadway in the area was closed for numerous hours for the safety of emergency workers and collision reconstruction, but has been recently open for all traffic.
