Snow Hill Celebrates Independence Day On The Sixth

SNOW HILL, Md. - The Fourth of July may have come and gone, but towns across Delmarva are still celebrating Independence Day.

Saturday, the town of Snow Hill is celebrating the holiday with food games and fireworks, and the festivities just so happened to fall on the same day as Snow Hill's annual Canoe Jousting competition.

"You have teams of three with a person standing in the middle with what looks like a big q-tip and you basically battle each other, the first person that gets knocked down into the river looses," says Jenna Riley, the executive director of the Snow Hill chamber of commerce.

There will be a DJ out in the park from 7 until dark, and then fireworks at sunset.
