Mandatory Furloughs Begin Monday In DE For US Military Employees

DELAWARE -  Mandatory furloughs will begin Monday for more than 1,400 civilians who work for the US military in Delaware.

According to Pentagon statistics, most civilian employees will be laid off one day each week over the next three months, and they must take a day off without pay, which amounts to a 20% pay cut. The furloughs are a result of automatic spending cuts imposed by Congress.
