Ocean Pines Life Saving Program Kicks Off July 8th

SNOW HILL, Md. - Starting July 8th, the Lifestyle Balance Program will meet on Mondays and Wednesdays from 10 to 11 AM at the Community Church in Ocean Pines, for a total of sixteen weeks. The program will continue to meet once a month for six months following the initial sixteen weeks.

The class is taught by CDC National Diabetes Prevention Program trained instructors, including a physiologist, registered dietitian, and a health educator. It has proven to be effective in reducing the risk for type 2 diabetes and other chronic diseases, assisting in weight loss and maintenance of a healthy body weight, and decreasing the risk for heart disease and stroke. All participants will receive their own person lifestyle change coach, and will receive incentives such as step counters, resistance bands, cook books, and more.
