"Red, White And Boom" Readies For July 4th Show

Posted: Updated:

SALISBURY, Md. - Organizers gear up for Thursday night's firework show at the Salisbury University Athletic fields.

Last year's "Red, White and Boom" was the first in six years and proved to be a success with organizers estimating 10,000 total watching the display and 2,000 more of which made it out to "Americana Avenue" on Wayne Street of the SU Athletic Fields.

Due to the well-received event, organizers say to expect more of the same for Thursday's show.

"It worked so well that we just figured let's just replicate it," said chairman Mike Dunn. "Every vender that was here last year is coming back again, which means they had a successful night."

The festival portion "Americana Avenue" will kick off at 6:30 PM, where Dunn says there will be 20 vendors with food, music, snow cones and kids activities.
