Gas Prices Higher Today Than Last Year's Independence Day

Posted: Updated:

WMDT 47 NEWS - Gas prices have been falling in many places across the country over the past few weeks, but it may be time to brace for higher prices again.

Americans are reportedly paying more today for gas compared to last year. The national average for regular gasoline today is $3.48 per gallon, which is about 14 cents higher than last year. This ends a 21-day streak of decreases for that national average, and AAA says prices may be at their summer lows.
