Man Arrested For Fleeing Traffic Stop In June

Posted: Updated:

EASTON, Md. - Easton Police say they arrested a man on Wednesday after a warrant was issued for his arrest stemming from a traffic stop in Denton.

According to reports, 23 year-old James Wilmer was pulled over for a traffic violation back in June. Officials say it was discovered that Wilmer's license was suspended.

Reports say, when the officer attempted to arrest Wilmer, he pushed the officer's arm away and fled the scene on foot.

The warrant for Wilmer's arrest has charged him with 2nd degree assault, resisting arrest, and driving suspended, among other charges.

Reports say a District Court Commissioner ordered Wilmer be held without bond.
