OCEAN CITY, Md. - We're learning more about the two Ocean City police officers killed in a tragic plane crash Sunday.

Twenty-seven-year-old Joshua Adickes of Berlin was just hired as a full-time officer last year. Originally from Long Valley, NJ,  we're told he relocated because he loves the beach. Those who knew him say Adickes was passionate about his job and jumped on opportunities to volunteer and help out.

Forty-three-year-old Thomas Geoghegan of Ocean City, served as a seasonal officer every summer since 2002. He served as an undercover narcotics detective and has had a hand in some big investigations.

"I think it's an amazing thing that we were lucky enough to have these two amazing people working with us. We as an organization are grieving from this. It was a shock the way it happened. They both loved life, they both were passionate about life and their pursuits," Public Information Officer Mike Levy said.

Officer Levy went on to tell WMDT that while they are in a bit of a daze and in pain about what happened, they "still have a job to get done, and to not do it would be a disservice to the men that were lost."
