Police Investigate Fatal Collision In Caroline County

CAROLINE CO., Md. - Maryland State Troopers are investigating a fatal two vehicle collision.

The incident occurred on Sunday at Shore Highway, east of Breeding Road.  Authorities say an 18-year-old male, driving a 2004 Chevrolet Cavalier, was traveling westbound on Shore Highway when the vehicle crossed the double yellow line and struck a 2006 Saturn Mini Van, operated by 74-year-old Donald Arnold of Baltimore, head on. Both vehicles were completely destroyed and removed from the scene. 

The teen was transported to PRMC for his injuries.  Three other passengers in the vehicle were taken to Nanticoke Health Services in Delaware. A fourth was transported to PG County Trauma.

Arnold was pronounced dead at PRMC. The three other passengers in his vehicle were taken to PRMC for their injuries.  Charges for the at fault driver are still pending.
