VIRGINIA BEACH, Va. (AP) - A Virginia Beach man convicted of throwing a kitten against a wall and killing it is going to prison.
Media outlets report that 22-year-old Kevin Tyler Bramble pleaded guilty Wednesday to felony animal cruelty.
Virginia Beach Circuit Court Judge Frederick Lowe gave Bramble a five-year prison sentence and then suspended all but six months. Bramble will receive credit for the time he's been in custody since he was arrested in March.
According to court documents, Bramble obtained the 4-month-old kitten through Craigslist. He killed the kitten three days later.
He told authorities that the kitten angered him.
