Cambridge Salvation Army Fire Update

Posted: Updated:

CAMBRIDGE, Md. - The Cambridge Salvation Army needs help after Monday's fire caused an estimated $500,000 in damages.

Salvation Army Major Gilliam says the Cambridge store is the "main funding engine," and brings in more than $120,000 to help people in need. They ask if someone has an empty store to donate for a short time, to contact them at 410-228-2442. Donations are also greatly appreciated.

The Maryland Fire Marshall's Office is still investigating the case. They say that they still do not know the cause of the fire, and do not believe it was arson. They ask that anyone shopping at the Salvation Army on Monday morning, or anyone that may know any details, to call 410-713-3780.
