Traffic Stop In OC Leads To Drug And Weapons Charges For Two

OCEAN CITY, Md. - Two people were charged with carrying drugs and nunchucks, after Police reportedly stopped them for not wearing seat belts. Ocean City Police say they stopped a vehicle with 20-year-old Jason Brandt, and 19-year-old Jason Kichline, both of Pennsylvania, after the officer noticed that neither occupant was wearing a seat belt. As the vehicle was pulling over on Baltimore Avenue, Police say the suspects threw a hand rolled marijuana cigarette out the passenger side window.

During the stop, officers reportedly found more marijuana cigarettes, loose marijuana in a baggie, drug paraphernalia, $900 in cash, and a set of nunchucks. OCPD says Brandt was selling the drugs. The vehicle was seized by Police.

Both Brandt and Kichline were charged with possession of marijuana, possession of a concealed dangerous weapon, and possession of a nanchaku (nunchuck). Brandt was additionally charged with possession with intent to distribute, and possession of drug paraphernalia. Both men were released after being seen by the Maryland District Court Commissioner.
