Two People Okay After Small Plane Crash In Stevensville

QUEEN ANNE'S CO., Md. - Two people are reportedly safe and uninjured, after being involved in a small plane crash on Tuesday afternoon. Maryland State Police say they are currently investigating a small plane crash that happened around 2:45 PM on Tuesday, near Kent Island in Queen Anne's County.

Officials say the two occupants, who aren't being identified at this time, weren't injured, when their Cirrus SR22 crashed near Romancoke and Kentmorr Roads in Stevensville.

Police say Troopers from their Centerville Barrack were dispatched after receiving calls about the plane going down. Officials with the National Transportation Safety Board and Federal Aviation Administration have apparently been notified.

At this time, the investigation into this incident is on-going, and there is no word yet on what caused the crash. We'll bring you more information as it becomes available. Stay tuned to WMDT and WMDT.com for the very latest.
