LEWES, Del. - Police are looking for information, after a woman was shot during a Tuesday morning home invasion, in Lewes. Delaware State Police say around 6:30 AM, two men forced their way into a home on Fox Glove Run, in Love Creek Mobile Home Park, West of Lewes.

According to the report, the two suspects, one of whom was armed with a handgun, went into a bedroom where a 38-year-old woman, and her 12-year-old daughter were sleeping, and shot the woman in the head. The suspects reportedly fled, apparently without taking any property.

The 12-year-old girl called 911, and the woman was taken to a local hospital where she is being treated for a gun-shot wound. Detectives say their investigation shows that the was not a random act, and the victims appear to have been targeted.

They are asking anyone with information to contact them at DSP Troop 4 at 302-856-5850 x224 or Crime Stoppers at 1-800-TIP-3333. Tips can also be submitted to the DSP Mobile Crime App, texting DSP to CRIMES (274637), or by visiting the TipSubmit website.
