Locals Speak On Domestic Violence With Male Victims

Posted: Updated:

SALISBURY, Md. - Women are not the only ones affected by domestic violence. The Life Crisis Center says that about 92% of the people they see are women, but they still offer the same services to men.

Many of the cases involve "psychological" and "verbal" abuse, and men can seek counseling so they know how to protect themselves from those problems. They can also learn safety planning and seek a protective order if necessary.

Salisbury Police officials say many cases victimize both women and men equally. However this can vary on a number of factors, including time of night.
