Salisbury Man Accused Of Hitting Sheriff's Deputy

SALISBURY, Md. - A Salisbury man is behind bars after allegedly assaulting a Police officer. According to the Wicomico County Sheriff's Office, on June 19th, a deputy responded to a call about a domestic assault on Richmond Avenue, in Salisbury.

As the deputy was investigating, one of the people involved, 21-year-old Jamal Church, reportedly became agitated, went into a rampage, and apparently hit the Deputy.

Church was arrested, charged with 2nd degree assault, and held at the Detention Center on $25,000 bond.
