Millsboro Woman Charged With 6th Offense DUI After Fleeing Crash

LONG NECK, Del. - Delaware State Police have reportedly arrested and charged a Millsboro woman for 6th Offense Driving Under the Influence of Alcohol after fleeing the scene of a crash in Long Neck.

According to reports, at around 4 PM on Friday, 59-year-old Deborah Pettyjohn hit another vehicle when exiting a McDonald's restaurant onto Plaza Drive, and then fled the area. Police said the operator and passenger in the vehicle were not injured in the collision.

Troopers reportedly contacted Pettyjohn and after further investigation, connected her crash and charged her with 6th Offense of Driving Under the Influence of Alcohol and related traffic offenses. Pettyjohn allegedly had five prior DUI convictions.

Police said Pettyjohn was committed to Sussex Correctional Institution for lack of $6,250 Cash Bond.
