Free College Tuition For Virginia Students

Posted: Updated:

RICHMOND, Va. - Thousands of Virginia residents may now have the chance to get a degree -- for free.

The University of Richmond just announced that it will offer a free education to first-year Virginia students with family incomes at $60,000 or less, beginning fall of 2014.  That includes tuition, room and board.

It's an increase from the original limit of $40,000. The university says it wants to become the school for talented students from middle class Virginia families.
