Locals Celebrate 64th Annual Delmarva Chicken Festival

Posted: Updated:

SNOW HILL, Md. - This weekend the town of Snow Hill is hosting the 64th Annual Delmarva Chicken Festival.

Of course, you can expect the usual crowd pleasers, like the 10-foot giant fry pan and the Chickin' Pickin Competition. There will also be plenty of rides and games for kids, live entertainment and a car show.

WMDT caught up with a few local shops about their experience so far.

"We've never done the Chicken Festival before, so a friend of mine asked me to come over to snow hill and do a fundraiser for the [Worcester Co.] Historical Society," said Kelly Conklin, Island Creamery owner.

"There's a good young crowd that we're able to instill a little bit of agriculture with them, because within Worcester County, chickens is the number one commodity," said Megan Ludy

The fun continues Saturday from 9 AM to 9 PM at Byrd Park.
