Water Contamination In Salisbury's Doe Run Community

Posted: Updated:

SALISBURY, Md. - It's been nearly a month since water contamination was discovered in Salisbury's Doe Run community. Thirty-three samples were recently tested for the chemical 1,2-Dichloropropane.

On Tuesday, the Wicomico County Health Department reported that water in those homes tested negative, and that the chemical is isolated to about eight homes. The Department believes a fumigation used on crops, which was legal up until the mid-90's, may have been the source of the contamination.
