Suspect Sought In Dover Shooting

DOVER, Del. - Dover Police say a man was shot in his leg on Monday while he was standing on the corner of Water Street and New Castle Avenue.

According to reports, the victim was with a group of friends when they were approached by a black male wearing a black hooded sweatshirt. Police say when the suspect produced a handgun, people ran.

The victim reportedly heard a gunshot before he was struck in the lower leg.

Authorities say he was transported to Bay Health Medical where he was treated and released for his injury.
