DOVER, Del. - A domestic incident that led to a three and a half hour standoff ended peacefully.

Delaware State Troopers responded to the 100 block of Pine Tree Drive in Pinewood around 3:19PM Monday afternoon. Police say a 34-year-old woman was threatening to harm herself after being involved in a domestic altercation with her 17-year-old son Sunday night.  Authorities then determined that the woman may still be armed and had locked herself in the home.

Troopers set up a perimeter around the house and members of the Delaware State Police Conflict Management Team and Special Operations Response Team attempted to communicate with the suspect for three and a half hours, but she refused to exit the home.

At approximately 6:45PM the woman willingly exited the residence and was taken into custody without further incident. The suspect was transported to Kent General Hospital for an evaluation. In investigation is still ongoing.
