WMDT 47 NEWS - Fueled by a gem of an outing from starter Parker Bridwell, the Delmarva Shorebirds picked up their 30th win in the last game before the all-star break, beating the Hickory Crawdads on the road Sunday night.
Bridwell tossed a career long eight innings and struck out a career high 10 batters. He retired the first 13 batters he faced before Jorge Alfaro singled to right-center in the fifth inning. Lucas Herbst, Tucker Nathans and Gregory Lorenzo each had multiple hits for the Shorebirds, who out hit the Crawdads ten to five.
The Shorebirds begin the second half of the year on Thursday, June 20 against the Asheville Tourists at Arthur W. Perdue Stadium.
