Preliminary Hearing Monday For Accomack Arson Fires

Posted: Updated:

ACCOMACK CO., Va - The Hopeton couple allegedly responsible for the 70 arson fires in Accomack County are scheduled to appear in General District Court tomorrow for a preliminary hearing.

According to documents obtained by WMDT, 38-year-old Charles Smith claims his 40-year-old fiancee, Tonya Bundick, set 15 of the fires on top of the 52 that he set.

Both Smith and Bundick were found competent to stand trial back in May after requests for psychological evaluations.
