Seaford Man Arrested For 4th Offense DUI In Kent County

HARRINGTON, Del. - The Harrington Police Department arrested 32-year-old Virgil Heath Jr. of Seaford after officers responded to a hit and run accident.

Officers were called to Commerce Street and Reese Avenue after a vehicle reportedly ran through a large flower bed and fled the scene. Witnesses followed and stopped the vehicle on Hanley Street and MIspillion Street and heed the driver until police arrived. Officers smelled an odor of alcohol coming from Heath when he was taken into custody.

Heath was charged with a 4th Offense DUI, leaving the scene of a property collision accident, driving without a license, criminal Mischief under $1,000, no insurance and no registration in possession. He was arraigned and committed to the Sussex Correctional Institute with a $10,552 secured bond.
