Shorebirds Fall Short Against Hickory Crawdads

WMDT 47 NEWS - The Delmarva Shorebirds lost a tight one on the road to the Hickory Crawdads Thursday night.

Starter Matt Taylor struck out 5 in 6 innings, but also surrendered 2 home runs and a total of 5 earned runs in the outing. Dennis Torres came on in effective relief, throwing 2 shutout innings. The two teams face off again Friday in Hickory.  The first pitch is at 7:05PM.
