Fugitive And Officer Suffer Minor Injuries When Arrest Goes Mobile

CAMBRIDGE, Md. - A wanted Cambridge woman reportedly puts up a fight while officers tried to arrest her. Cambridge Police say on Tuesday evening, officers tried to arrest 27-year-old Davonta Cain, on a Dorchester County Bench Warrant.

According to the report, Cain resisted arrest by assaulting the arresting Officer, and running from the scene, right into a road way. Police say Cain when ran into Washington Street with the Officer in close pursuit, both hit a moving vehicle.

Both the officer, and Cain were treated for minor injuries at a local hospital. Cain has been charged with assault on a police officer, resisting arrest, and failure to obey lawful order. She is being held on $75,000 bond.
