CHRISTIANA, Del. (AP) - Delaware State Police say a body has been found in the Christina River under the Christiana Bypass.

Troopers say an industrial painting crew was working under the elevated section of the bypass about 10:15 a.m. Tuesday when workers saw the body about 12 feet from the western embankment of the river.

Police say the decomposing body was that of a fully clothed adult white male.

The body was turned over to the Office of the Chief Medical Examiner to determine the cause and manner of death.
