Maryland Spay/Neuter Fund Established

Posted: Updated:

MARYLAND - A new spaying law is set to take effect in Maryland this fall.

The bill, which was signed into law last month, will help reduce the number of stray animals throughout the state by giving money to low-income families to have pets spayed or neutered.

We are told the fund will have around $500,000 in it for the first year, and it will increase by $250,000 each of the next two years.
